Digitalisation & robotisation: what do we actually see happening?
In the Computable of 4 November 2016, Ronald Verbeek published an article on the impact of digitalisation & robotisation on employment.

The world is in transition; digitisation and internationalisation are key terms to understand this development. The application of ict changed almost everything in recent decades: communication, administrative and production processes, transfer of knowledge, shopping, working, relaxing and much more. In the article, Ronald Verbeek gives substance to this social discussion: what impact does digitalisation have on employment?
Members of the CIO Platform Netherlands see a shift in the necessary skills of employees. For example, from IT skills as a specialism to IT skills as part of all functions. Also, there are roles where less employment is expected, such as administrators (due to outsourcing), but at the same time there are roles where more employment is expected, such as Big Data analysts.
