Rabobank has established the Agentic Hub to centrally develop and deploy AI agents within software development. These agents support engineers by partially performing tasks such as backlog management, code generation, testing, and reviews independently. The main goal is to improve control over quality, security, and compliance, and to prevent teams from experimenting in isolation.

The hub is part of a broader AI strategy to make AI a core capability and to scale successful applications more quickly. Under the leadership of Myrna Vonk, the hub also focuses on changes in collaboration and ways of working for engineers.

According to CITO Alexander Zwart, the hub helps to understand how software development is changing due to AI agents and to apply this knowledge across the organization. Other banks, such as ING and ABN AMRO, are also working on similar initiatives around agentic AI.
