'This nomination is a recognition of the entire team. Good CIO leadership today means translating technology into tangible business value, where innovation, simplicity and customer impact go hand in hand.' As Chief Technology Officer at Boels Rental, Bob de Leeuw brings people, processes and technology together to turn innovation into real progress. For him, technology is never the goal in itself. 'It’s about making our business work smarter, helping our people move forward and creating real value for our customers.'

The nomination highlights the growing importance of the CIO role at a time when technology is increasingly shaping an organization's strategic direction. The award looks beyond technology alone and places a strong emphasis on leadership, business impact, and the ability to translate digital developments into tangible outcomes for the organization.

We warmly congratulate Bob and the Boels team on this nomination and wish them every success in the next stages of the selection process leading up to the announcement at CIODAY 2026.
