CIO Platform Nederland supports Prometheus: working together on digital resilience
Prometheus brings together knowledge institutions, companies and government organisations to accelerate innovation at the intersection of AI and cybersecurity. Its objective is ambitious but necessary: to develop collective, market-neutral capabilities that identify vulnerabilities more quickly and help remedy them before malicious actors can exploit them.
The thinking behind the initiative will be familiar to many of our members. Digital resilience has long ceased to be a matter for individual organisations alone. We depend on suppliers, software supply chains and digital ecosystems. A vulnerability in one place can affect many other organisations. This calls for cooperation, knowledge sharing and joint investment in resilience.
As an association, we see considerable value in initiatives that bring public and private parties together around a shared societal interest. Prometheus also aligns well with subjects that are regularly on the agenda within CIO Platform Nederland, including cybersecurity, digital sovereignty, supply-chain resilience and the responsible use of AI.
We encourage our members to learn more about the initiative and read the underlying manifesto.
For organisations with relevant expertise, data, research knowledge, infrastructure or practical experience, it may be worthwhile to contribute ideas or participate actively. Prometheus explicitly aims to expand further and attract new partners.
The challenges we face are too significant to address in a fragmented way. That is precisely why initiatives such as Prometheus are important. By bringing together knowledge, technology and experience, we can strengthen the Netherlands’ digital resilience more quickly and be better prepared for the impact of tomorrow’s AI-driven threats.
