About CIO Platform Nederland
CIO Platform Nederland (CIOPN) has been around for 20 years and has grown into an association of more than 140 member organizations and approximately 2,100 participating employees. Over the past years, we have organized around 55 events annually. We actively contribute to policy development and legislative processes in the Netherlands and Europe, working closely with fellow CIO associations in France, Germany, and Belgium. Ministries, industry organizations, various media outlets, and others regularly seek insights from our network.
Why We Need You
All these activities, including the communication around them, require significant capacity from our team. To prepare positions and contribute to the various forums mentioned above, to gather and process input from members, and to prepare and propose decisions to the board, we are looking for a new colleague.
What Will You Do?
As an IT Advisor, you will work in a dynamic team of six colleagues, who typically work 28–32 hours per week. You will work from home and be willing to travel regularly for meetings with members or stakeholders. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Collecting, processing, and analyzing input from members to prepare positions, proposals for meetings, contributions to external meetings (e.g., ministries, VNO-NCW, ICT Media, ECP, our external partner Brabers), and policy proposals within the association.
- Participating in external meetings to gather input and represent CIOPN’s perspective.
- Preparing CIOPN meetings and content publications.
- Drafting and reviewing CIOPN communications.
- Providing backup support for organizing events when needed.
Your Profile
- Academic degree
- Several years of experience in a policy-preparatory role
- Strong analytical skills
- Interest in and/or experience with digital technology applications
- Excellent communication skills; able to switch easily between C-level and operational level
- Strong writing skills in Dutch and English
- Creative, independent, persistent, collegial, result-oriented, and accurate
- A network within the mentioned forums/national IT sector is a plus
